2013 marks the 180th anniversary of Thai-U.S. friendship.
To celebrate, the Cultural Affairs Section of the Embassy of the United States of America commissioned a photography exhibition that celebrates the warm relationship between Thai and American people.
The exhibition featured 180 photographs that depict every day life in Thailand and America – 90 pictures from American photographers of life in Thailand and 90 pictures from Thai photographers of life in America. The exhibition also showcase images by such famous photographers as James Nochtwey, Steve McCurry, Greg Gorman, Colin Finlay, Benya Hegenbarth and Douglas Kirkland.
Selected photographs is featured in the exhibition at Central World in Bangkok (July 19-21) and Central Airport Plaza in Chiang Mai (July 26-28). The exhibit will travel to Los Angeles during the Month of Photography LA, MOPLA April 2014.
The exhibition is curated by Hossein Farmani of Farmani Gallery / Lucie Awards and Manit Sriwanichpoom of kathmandu Gallery
